 	Remove/install
1	Remove poly-V belt (2)		AR13.22-P-1202R
2	Remove the center bolt (4)	 Automatic transmission:Do not counterhold at ring gear (with retaining lock) in order to remove the center bolt (4)! Due to the high torque, the crankshaft must be counterheld at the spokes of the belt pulley/vibration damper (5) with the counterholder.
		 Installation: Oil thread of center bolt (4). Measure length of center bolt (4) (bolt head contact surface to end of shank). Use of center bolt (4) up to shank length max. 78 mm.

3	Remove belt pulley / vibration damper (5)	 Inspect contact surface of hub for signs of wear.	AR03.30-P-1600CA
4	Use a screwdriver to remove the crankshaft radial sealing ring (7)	 Do not damage the crankshaft and mounting bore for the crankshaft radial sealing ring (7). Use a clean rag as a base.
		 Installation: The circumference and lip of the crankshaft radial sealing ring (7) as well as the mating surface on the belt pulley/vibration damper (5) must be oil and grease-free.
		Installation: Do not coat crankshaft radial sealing ring (7) with sealant.
		 Installation: Install front crankshaft radial sealing ring (7) with the aid of the sleeve (6).	AR03.20-P-3000-01B

5	Install in the reverse order
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 6	Check oil viscosity after performing engine test run	 Check for oil leaks after spraying the cleaned and dried surrounding area with MB 'white' contrast spray.
