Remove/install

Remove engine cover (5).

Installation: Only re-install the engine cover (5) after the leak test.

Remove vent hose (3) from the bleed line (4).

Check vent hose (3) for damage.

If the vent hose is damaged,

Replace vent hose (3).

Remove the cylinder head cover (1).

Installation: Clean the sealing surfaces of cylinder head cover (1) and the cylinder head. Replace sealing washers on screw/bolts (2) and seal (6).

Install in the reverse order

Check

Start engine and perform an engine test run.

See information from body manufacturer. Allow the engine to run at a higher engine speed.

Switch off engine and check in the area of the cylinder head cover (1) for leak tightness.

Perform visual inspection.
