Replace cooling and heater water hoses

Removing

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Notes on coolant

All engines

Drain the coolant from radiator and Engine and collect it in a clean vessel.

 Heavily soiled coolant as well as coolant which according to the maintenance specification has been in the cooling and heating system for 3 years or longer must be replaced

Remove all cooling and heating water hoses
(including auxiliary heater)

Inspect the condition of the sealing surfaces of the pipe sockets and the pipe connections.



Install

Install new cooling and heating water hoses.

Pour in coolant



Inspect condition and adequate anticorrosion/ antifreeze protection of the drained coolant. If necessary, replace coolant or replenish anticorrosion/ antifreeze agent 

Test the cooling and heating system with testing unit for leaks

Start engine and allow to run at alternating rpm until the control temperature of the thermostat is reached.

Turn off engine

Check coolant level, adjust to correct level
