Detach drive pinion gear housing (2) from front section of axle housing (5)

 Pry off with two hexagon bolts.

Detach shim (3) from front section of axle housing (5)

Check cylindrical roller bearing (4) in front section of axle housing (5), replace if necessary

Install

Clean sealing surfaces of drive pinion gear housing and of front section of axle housing (5) and coat with sealant.

Screw guide pins into front section of axle housing (5)

Guide bolts for installing differential assembly

Install drive pinion gear housing (2) on front section of axle housing (5)

 Place shim (3) and drive pinion gear housing (2) on the front section of the axle housing (5) so that the oil ducts (arrows) are situated over each other, thus ensuring lubrication.





Measure basic dimension at differential.

 If the dimension deviates, correct the distance between the drive pinion gear housing and front section of axle housing with appropriate shims.
