Remove front axle shaft (1)

Check constant velocity joint (5) for wear and damage

Replace front axle shaft (1), if necessary.

Remove transmission-end rubber boot from front axle shaft (1)

Clamp front axle shaft (1) horizontally into vise

Use protective jaws when clamping in.

Cut open clamps (2, 4) and remove

Cut open and detach rubber boot (3)

Clean

Remove grease and clean constant velocity joint (5)

Install

Slide new sealing bellows (3) onto front axle shaft (1)

Remove front axle shaft (1) from vise to enable the new sealing bellows (3) to be pushed on, then clamp in again.

Fill rubber boot (3) and constant velocity joint (5) with grease

Use grease from repair kit.

Slide rubber boot (3) onto constant velocity joint (5), align and fasten with clamps (2, 4)

Use new clamps (2, 4).

Remove front axle shaft (1) from vise

Install transmission-end rubber boot on front axle shaft (1)
