Remove/install

Remove left transverse control arm.

Remove left ball head from left steering knuckle.

Pull front axle shaft (1) out of wheel hub.

Pry front axle shaft (1) out of axle drive module using end of knock-out tool (2) marked with "L", and remove in direction of arrow (arrow A).

Installation:
Handle front axle shaft (1) carefully,
otherwise the radial shaft sealing ring may be damaged.

Press-out tool

Remove radial shaft sealing ring.

Installation: replace radial shaft sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order.

Remove/install left front axle shaft
