Remove

Remove left front axle shaft.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1) from axle drive module (2).


Use a suitable protective base and carefully remove radial shaft sealing ring (1).
Damage to sealing surface of axle drive module (2) can otherwise result in leaks.

 Collect any transmission oil which runs out.

Clean

Clean sealing surface of radial shaft sealing ring (1) at axle drive module (2).

Assembly cleaner

Install

4

Slide new radial shaft sealing ring (1), as shown, up to end stop on drift (3) in direction of arrow (arrow A).

Drive radial shaft sealing ring (1) with drift (3) up to end stop in axle drive module (2) in direction of arrow (arrow B).

Pull drift (3) out of radial shaft sealing ring (1) and remove.

Install front axle shaft at left.

Check

8

Check transmission oil level.

If transmission oil level is incorrect,

Correct transmission oil level.
