Operation
The compressed air that activates the valves of the group (BV) comes from the groups DE and DS.
Brake pedal valve (13.02)
The pedal brake valve (13.02) uses the air stored in the compressed air reservoirs (5.01), braking the vehicle when the driver applies the brake pedal. It ensures the vehicle to have a gradual braking and proportional to the effort deployed on the brake pedal. After applied, the pedal brake valve (13.02) sends the air to the axle pneumatic cylinders (22.01) and (20.02).
Parking brake manual valve (14.01)
The air coming from the 4-circuit protective valve (4.03, connection 23) flows by the check valve (8.02), which releases the air passage but doesn't allow it to return, ensuring that the circuit is always filled.
The manual parking brake valve (14.01), when applied, allows the progressive application or non-application of the parking brake. It sends a control pressure to the relay valve (16.01).
The relay valve (16.01) sends the air to a pressure shut-off device (10.01) and also rapidly works on the supply and draining of the accumulator spring chambers, shortening the cylinder activation time (22.01) of the axle.
