1 Place the front wheel in the idle position in straight line.
The mark on the drive shaft (arrow A) shall match with the mark in the steering gear housing (arrow C).
2 Loose the locknut (9) and screw the adjusting screw (10) with the hand (approx. 10 Nm).

3 Place the circlip (11) between the Pitman arm and the steering gear housing, in order that the screw heads (11.1) remain back to the Pitman arm (12).
The oil control ring in the steering gear housing shall not be damaged.
4 Loosen the screws (11.1) to immobilize the circlip (11).
The circlip (11) remains in the axial position of steering sector axle (13) to prevent that sealing ring is damaged during the remaining installation procedures.

5 Loosen the screws (7) and locknut (9) from box cover (4).
6 Loosen the adjusting screw (10), rotating it up to 6 turns until the cover (4) of the box is apart from the housing (measurement approx. 10 mm).
If the box cover (4) is apart more than 10 mm by the adjusting screw, probably the support and cover sealing ring will be damaged.

7 Remove the sealing ring (5) of the box cover (4).
Remove the sealing ring of box cover carefully to prevent damaging the sealing surfaces.
8 Put masking tape (8) in all the cover border of the box (4).
The masking tape prevents that sealing ring (5) is damaged while passing by the cast border of the box cover during the installation.
9 Apply grease in the new sealing ring (5) and pass on the box cover (4).
When assembling the sealing ring, observe the identification, diameter and number of part in the adhesive tag.
Stretch the ring only in sufficient manner to pass it on the steering gear housing cover and carefully, not to damage it during the installation.
10 Remove the tap without leaving any residue in the steering gear housing cover (4).
11 Push the sealing ring upwards, namely, to the box cover flange until it touches the cover border.
Do not damage or twist the sealing ring.

12 Unscrew the adjusting screw (10) around 4 rounds so that steering gear housing cover (4) gets closer to the housing .
Therefore, it is necessary that the circlip (11) is assembled.
13 Thread the new screws (7), approx. 1 turn in the steering gear housing.
14 Unscrew the adjusting screw (10) until the box cover (4) is supported in the steering gear housing.
Torque of approx. 10 Nm.
15 Thread the screws (7) and tighten them in cross in the box cover (4).
16 Remove the circlip (11).
17 Unscrew the adjusting screw (10), from to 1 turn, until torque reduction is noted.
18 Thread the locknut (9) and leave it free in the adjusting screw.
The locknut (9) is not tighten while the steering sector axle adjusting is not performed.
