Chock the vehicle front axle wheels at front and rear

Loosen the self-locking nuts (3) of the coupling flanges (2) of the rear axle (4) and of the intermediate bearing (13) and remove the transmission shaft (1)

Don't let the bottom half of propeller shaft (1) slips and detach from upper half.

Valid for propeller shaft (1) with flange.

Installation: Use new self-locking nuts (3).
Tighten the nuts sequentially before applying the prescribed torque.
Maintain the universal joint articulations aligned.

Loosen the bolts (7) and clamps (8) of the coupling yoke (6) of the rear axle (4) and of the intermediate bearing (13) and remove the transmission shaft (1)

Don't let the bottom half of propeller shaft (1) slips and detach from upper half.

Valid for propeller shaft (1) with coupling yoke.

Detach the transmission shaft (1) from the gearbox (5) and support it

Installation: Use new self-locking nuts (3) and bolts (7).

Remove the bolts of bearings (12), the nuts (10) and the washers (11), and remove the propeller shaft (1) along with the intermediate bearing (9, 13)

Install in reverse order
