1 | Remove the wheel | ||
2 | Remove the holder with the brake caliper | ||
When working with the brake system, observe the information contained in the manufacturer repair and maintenance instructions. The manufacturer as well as the brake type can be obtained in the nameplate affixed on the brake caliper. | |||
3 | Loosen the screws (17) and remove the cover (16) | ||
4 | Unlock and loosen the outer grooved nut (14) | Claw wrench | |
5 | Remove the lock washer (13) and the internal grooved nut (12) | Claw wrench | |
6 | Remove the wheel hub (5) with the brake disc (2) from the axle end (1) | A lifting or supporting device facilitates removal of the wheel hub. | |

7 | Install the wheel hub (5) with the brake disc (2) on the axle end (1) | Install carefully to not damage the seals. | |
If the bearing locking ring (9) is not fully engaged on the wheel hub bearings, the axial clearance of the bearings will not be reached. | |||
Previously lubricate the axle end in the wheel hub bearings support region. | |||

If necessary correct the bearing mounting: | |||

Remove and install the bearing on the rear wheel hub | |||
8 | Install the inner grooved nut (12) | Install the grooved nut with the beveled face pointing towards the outside. While tightening the nut, rotate the wheel hub repeatedly in both directions. | |

9 | Install the lock washer (13) and install the outer grooved nut (14) | The safety splint of the lock washer (13) should be pointing towards inside. The cogged side of the grooved nut (14) should be pointing towards the inside. | |

10 | Lock the outer grooved nut (14) | Tighten with pliers the lock washer (13) in one of the grooves of outer grooved nut. | |
11 | Install the cover (16) and the screws (17) on the wheel hub (5) | Replace the O-ring (15). | |
