Remove

Remove transmission shaft on drive flange (3)

Unlock the collar nut (1)

 The locking tabs of the collar nut (1) must be completely cut off. Otherwise, small fragments can damage the groove of the screw when the collar nut (1) is removed.

Remove the collar nut (1)


Do not use the impact tool to remove the collar nut (1).
The bearings with shaft tapered roller may be damaged.

Remove drive flange (3) and remove protection plate (4)

 Puller

Remove sprocket O-ring (2)

Remove the sealing ring (5) from the differential housing



Check

Check the sealing surface of the drive flange (3) on the sealing ring area (5)

 If damage or wear is noticed on the sealing surface of the drive flange (3), a new flange (3) and a new cover plate (4) must be installed.



Install

Install a new sealing ring (5) for the differential housing

Install a new O-Ring (2) on the sprocket

Install drive flange (3) and remove protection plate (4)

 Apply a light coating of oil on the surface of the sealing ring (5) and the drive flange (3).

Install a new collar nut (1)


Do not use the impact tool to tighten the collar nut (1).
The bearings with shaft tapered roller may be damaged.
