Remove the liftgate (21) and remove the spacer ring (25)

Put the supporting plate (23) at the power take-off flange;

put the gearbox in vertical position on the supporting plate

Remove lock ring (4)

 When installing, the locking ring must be replaced.

Remove intermediary axle cover (5)

 With the aid of a lever, remove intermediary shaft cover.

 The countershaft cover should not be reused, it must be replaced by a new one.

Remove the locking ring (6) and (7)

 When installing, the locking ring must be replaced.

Remove the screws (19) from the gearbox (9) front panel

Remove the gearbox (9) front part

Remove the needle roller bearing (14) and the balancing washer (13)

Remove the radial ball bearing (8)

 With an appropriate mandrel, hit the outer race of the radial ball bearing (8) by the inner part of the front of the gearbox (9).

 It is necessary to remove the radial ball bearing (8) before installing the gearbox front panel (9).



Check the secondary shaft axial clearance (16)

Install the secondary shaft (16) and the balancer washer (13) previously calculated

Install the needle roller bearing (14)

Install the gearbox (9) front panel on the rear part (17)

 Clean contact surfaces and apply sealing agent.

Install the radial ball bearing (8)

 Flat iron plate to support intermediary shaft (15).

 Hit the radial ball bearing inner race (8) until it touches the stop.

Install new lock rings (6) and (7)

 When installing the locking rings (6) and (7), ensure the smallest possible clearance.

Install a new end cover (5)

 Apply sealing product to the sealing surfaces.
