2 Clutch slave cylinder bleeder

While bleeding, if the system is under pressure and the bleeder is shut, the clutch pedal cannot be actuated.

1 Remove the lid from the brake fluid reservoir and plug the bleeder (1) connector.

The reservoir is located behind the dashboard. to access the reservoir, remove the lid from the left end of the panel.

2 Set the working pressure of the bleeder to 1 bar.

3 Remove the dust plug and attach a (preferably transparent) hose onto the bleed bolt (2).
This hose is used to transfer the fluid coming out of the bleed bolt to the (suitable) container.

4 Open the bleed valve and wait until the fluid reaches the minimum level of the reservoir or close to it.

5 Loosen the bleed bolt

Do not reuse the drained fluid during the bleeding process, because it can be contaminated and damage the drive system.

6 Tighten the bleed bolt and relieve the pressure from the bleeder.

Relieve pressure from bleeder before checking the coupling point, otherwise the plate will be automatically adjusted in vehicles 979.013 and 979.016 (715C).

7 Check the clutch coupling point (it should be between 1/ 4 and 1/2 pedal stroke.

8 If the coupling point is not correct, repeat steps 4, 5 and 6.
