Remove/install piston

Check the connecting rod and piston rings by visual inspection for wear and damage

Remove the connecting rod and the connecting rod bushing and visually check for wear, damage or twisting.

In case of stretch marks or notches, the rod should be replaced. If the damage cannot be clearly measurable:

 If damage or wear is found, the engine should be disassembled and repaired.
