1 | Switch off the main switch or disconnect the battery negative cable | ||
2 | Open the engine compartment hood | Refer to the body makers instructions. | |
3 | Remove the screws (17) and the cranckcase protector (16) | ||
4 | Drain the lubricant oil pan | ||

Catch the oil in an appropriate container. | |||
5 | Remove dipstick (4) | Check the rod sealing ring (4), | |

replace if necessary. | |||
6 | Remove the guide tube of the rod (5) | Remove the nut (8), the washer (7), the screw (6) and disconnect the guide tube (5) from nipple on the crankcase to remove the guide tube (5) | |

7 | Remove the oil filler tube (10) | Remove the nut (13), the washer (14), the screw (15), the screws (11) and remove the tube (10) and the gasket (12). | |

Replace the gasket (12), check, | |||

and if necessary replace the cap seal (9) of the filler pipe (10). | |||
8 | Remove the screws (3), then remove the oil sump (1) |

Tighten the screws (3) in the prescribed sequence | |||

9 | Remove the crankcase gasket (2) | Installation: Clean the sealing surfaces on the oil pan and on the engine block. | |

10 | Install in reverse order | ||
Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
11 | Starting the engine | Do not crank the engine continuously for more than 30 seconds. If the engine does not fire within this interval, wait approximately 1 minute to crank it again. | |
12 | Check the engine oil pressure with the engine idling | Do not accelerate the engine until oil pressure is shown on the indicator. The oil pressure will have to be reestablished in approximately 10 seconds. | |

13 | Stop the engine and check for eventual leaks | ||
