Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Open the engine compartment hood

 Access to perform the maintenance and repairs varies according to the bodywork type/manufacturer of the bodywork.

Run engine until work temperature is reached

Drain the lubricant oil through the draining plug (3)of the oil pain

 Replace the draining plug sealing ring (3).

Replace the engine oil filter element

 Only drain the engine oil with heated engine at the work temperature.

Fill crankcase through the filler neck (2) until the maximum oil level is reached on dipstick (1)

Run the engine at idle speed observing the oil pressure indicator

 Do not accelerate the engine until oil pressure is shown on the indicator. The pressure must be reestablished in approximately 10 seconds.

Check the engine seal



Visual inspection:



 Oil filter and carter oil drain plug seal.

Stop the engine

Control the lubricant oil level for 5 minutes after having stopped the engine

 If necessary establish again the level, use an oil from the same brand and type already used until getting the maximum level.

 The oil level should be checked with the vehicle parked on level ground.
