General information on adjusting valve clearance

 Check and adjust valve clearance while engine is cold. Wait at least 30 minutes after turning off the engine, even if it has been operated for a brief interval, in order to ensure constant temperature

Rotate the engine to the positions of crankshaft determined by the chosen adjustment method
