Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Remove lower engine compartment paneling

Unscrew banjo bolt on oil feed line (5) and oil return feed line (6)

 Collect any transmission oil which runs out.

Remove oil cooler feed line (7) and oil cooler return line (8) on thermostat (9)

 Collect any transmission oil which runs out.

Loosen double clamp (10) and mounting clamps (11)

Tighten oil feed line (5) with banjo bolt to suitable connector (4)

Connect plastic hose with connector (4)

 Guide free end into a sufficiently large collecting pan.

Fill container (3) with transmission oil



Connect thrust side of hand pump (2) to container (3)

Operate hand pump (2)

 Ensure that the transmission oil flows freely. Perform flushing procedure until clean transmission oil escapes.

Check collected transmission oil for metal abrasion

If metal abrasion is present in transmission oil:



The thermostatic valve (9) must be replaced.

Remove/install transmission cooling coolant recirculation pump

Disconnect plastic hose and oil feed line (5) from connector (4)

Tighten oil cooler feed line (7) with adapter fitting to connector (4)

 Replace sealing rings on banjo bolts.
