Remove/install

Remove resonator box.

Relieve clamping device (2) and fix in place with a 4 mm thick drill bit (3).

Remove poly-V-belt (1) from the clamping device.

Remove poly-V-belt (1).


Do not lubricate poly-V-belt (1); install dry.
The poly-V belt (1) will slip otherwise.

 Installation: Observe routing diagram of poly-V belt (1).

Inspect the poly-V belt (1) for wear and damage.



If there is a problem,



Replace poly-V-belt (1).

Install in the reverse order.



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check poly-V-belt (1) is running correctly.
