Remove

 Danger !

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove poly-V belt (1) of refrigerant compressor

 To do so, slacken the nuts (2) of the tensioning device and remove the poly-V belt (1).

Remove poly-V belt guide pulleys



Remove belt pulley with vibration damper



Detach refrigerant compressor from bracket (3)

 To do so, remove the screws/bolts (4) and hang the refrigerant compressor outside the working area.

Remove bracket (3)

 To do so, remove the screws/bolts (5, 6).

Remove oil pan bottom section



 Drained engine oil is no longer used.



Install

Install new oil pan bottom section



Install new carrier for refrigerant compressor

Install new belt pulley with vibration damper



Install new poly-V belt (1) of refrigerant compressor


The poly-V belt (1) must be fitted flush on the belt pulley of the refrigerant compressor at the rear so that the front three ribs of the belt pulley remain free.
This prevents misalignment.

 To do so, pull the poly-V belt (1) onto the belt pulley of the crankshaft using the assembly tool.
