Turn transmitter key in EZS control unit to position "0" and remove

To prevent unintentional starting of the engine.

Lift/jack up vehicle

Loosen poly-V belt (1) and remove

When carrying out further operations on engine or timing case cover, relieve poly-V belt tensioning device (2).

Checking

Check poly-V belt (1) for wear and damage

Replace poly-V belt (1) if necessary.

Check poly-V belt tensioning device (2) and belt pulley

Replace poly-V belt tensioning device (2) if necessary.
