Task
Actuating the fuel pump
Design/function
The fuel pump (M18) is actuated by the PEC control module (A13) through unfused terminal 15 (switch on ignition) for about 1second. If the PEC control module (A13) detects engine speed, the fuel pump relay (K39) and thus the fuel pump (M18) are actuated constantly. No speed information signal results in the fuel pump relay (K39) and the fuel pump (M18) being switched off.
The fuel pump relay (K39) closes the power circuit to the fuel pump (M18). The power circuit to the fuel pump (M18) is protected by fuse (F61).
