Spring off thrust ring (1) with chisel and remove.

Heat up new thrust ring (1) to approx. 80 °C and slide on as far as the end stop on the axle tube.

 Thrust rings (1) feature a swirl which pumps the oil back via the sealing lip of the radial shaft sealing ring. Therefore do not swap over the thrust rings (1) for the left and right side.
If incorrectly mounted, leaks will occur.

 The thrust ring (1) for the right side is color coded on the chamfer.
