Open lid on fuel tank

Open cover to enable the overpressure in the fuel tank to be evacuated.

Clean exterior of filter housing (4)

Unscrew screw cap (1) and pull out of filter housing (4) together with filter element (3)

Ensure that no foreign bodies enter the filter housing (4). Do not wipe the filter housing (4) under any circumstances.

Clean screw cap (1) and filter element (3)

Replace filter element (3) if severely soiled or damaged.

Replace seal (2)

Lightly grease or oil the sealing ring (2).

Screw on screw cap (1) with filter element (3) and tighten

Start the engine and bleed the fuel system

Run the engine for approx. 1 minute. The fuel system is bled automatically.

Check leaktightness of filter housing (4) when the engine is running
