Release roof lining (1, 2)

To enable this to be pulled down in the area of the roof hatch cutout section, to gain access to the bolts (3) used to fasten the roof hatch mount.

Check

Check if there is any excess thread locking compound on the bolts (3)

If excess thread locking compound is present.

Remove excess thread locking compound on bolts (3).

Check roof lining (1, 2) in area below the roof hatch mount for thread locking compound residue (B) and for any further damage (A) such as, e.g. holes on the outside

If there is no residue (B) or further damage (A) present.

Perform operation step 7 and end measure.

If residue (B) or further damage (A) is present.

Continue with operation step 4.

Remove residue (B) of thread locking compound from roof lining (1, 2)

Perform only if the outside of the roof lining (1, 2) does not exhibit any damage.

Replace

Replace roof lining (2) at rear left

Perform only if outside of roof lining (2) is damaged.
