Our experience has shown that the overwhelming majority of all Mercedes-Benz vehicles and all Maybach, AMG and smart cars with spark-ignition engines can basically be run on E10 fuel.
Exceptions to this are models from the first direct-injection generation: C 200 CGI (model 203) and
CLK 200 CGI (model 209) from years of construction 2001 to 2005.
Also excepted are models produced at the factory without a controlled three-way catalytic converter or equipped with carburetor. These are generally older than 25 years old.
Furthermore, all stationary heaters made by the Webasto company (Webasto designation: TT-C/E/V/Z) that are installed in Mercedes-Benz as well as Maybach, AMG and smart cars, and all future units from the Webasto company will be compatible with E10 on the basis of
E DIN 51626-1: 2010-04.
The following table lists all models that may not be operated with a bioethanol admixture of more than 5 %.
The models must always be run on gasoline of the grade
"Super or Super Plus sulfur-free in accordance with DIN EN228 or E DIN 51626-1" or with a comparable quality with the special designation "Contains up to 5 % bioethanol".

Note:
Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and smart cars may only be filled with standard fuel qualities (DIN/EN specification). The octane number recommendation (RON) set for the particular engine type or vehicle age must be taken into consideration.
Vehicles that are not compatible with E10 can be identified by the listed model designation numbers, as these are part of the vehicle identification number (motor vehicle registration certificate, field E).

The grades for continued use can be recognized by the fuel dispenser inscription "Contains up to 5 % bioethanol". The RON grade available as an E5 continued use at the gas station is up to the discretion of the provider.
