For better cleaning of the cooling modules in extreme use conditions as well as to protect the radiator fins from mechanical damage the Code M73 (Special equipment 38 156/01/02) is immediately available.

The protective and sliding grilles available in this equipment kit can also be retrofitted to some extent.

In doing so, the following information must be observed:

Retrofitting (cooling module for right vehicle side):

The sliding grille for water cooler (3) and charge air cooler (4) can be retrofitted without difficulty.

Warning! The protective grille for the water cooler (2) can currently only be retrofitted after installing a new water cooler with brackets for the threaded connection.

Change to series production is in preparation.

The water cooler can also be pivoted out for better cleaning.

Retrofitting (cooling module for left vehicle side):

The sliding grille for the AC condenser (4) can be retrofitted without difficulty.

The protective grille for the AC condenser (2) in Engine 904 can be retrofitted without difficulty.

Warning! The protective grille for the auxiliary water cooler (2) in Engine 906 can currently only be retrofitted after installing a new water cooler with brackets for the threaded connection. Change to series production is in preparation.

Warning! The protective grille for the oil cooler of the working hydraulics (3) can currently only be retrofitted after installing a new oil cooler with brackets for the threaded connection. Change to series production is in preparation.

The oil cooler for the working hydraulics can also be pivoted out for better cleaning.

The parts in the retrofitting kit are given in the corresponding special equipment (SA):
