Installation instructions for throttle valve actuator
1 Unscrew idle stop screw (84) with pliers. Screw in new stop screw (shear-off screw) into throttle valve lever, first of all far enough that it projects approx. 2 mm.

2 Performing basic setting of throttle valve actuator
Attach return spring (109) to the throttle valve lever.
Adjust the idle stop screw (84) as follows:
With the carburetor fitted, switch on ignition
(do not start engine!).
Continuously pump with hand vacuum pump at the evacuation port (arrow) of the throttle valve actuator (min. 250 mbar vacuum).
This causes the plunger of the throttle valve actuator to adopt a attitude-control position (approximately idle position!).
If the plunger of the throttle valve actuator is not retracted, push throttle valve lever slightly by hand against plunger of throttle valve actuator.
Following the adjustment, the position of the adjusting screw must not be altered otherwise the matching of the potentiometer of the throttle valve actuator to the throttle valve potentiometer is no longer correct (idle detection!).
107-32284
In this position, it must be possible to pass the shop-made gauge (arrow) of 2.00.05 mm exhausting between throttle valve stop screw (78) and lever stop (79). Adjust the new idle stop screw (84), if necessary.
After performing this adjustment, shear off head (arrow) of the adjusting screw with pliers.
Note
Do not alter position of adjusting screw (78)!

Repair instruction
As of September 1988, carburetor part no.
002 070 34 04, the plunger stroke of the throttle valve actuator has been extended by 2.5 mm to increase smooth engine running after a cold start.
This throttle valve actuator must not be retrofitted.
