Fixing bolts (68) | unbolt, bolt up, 15 Nm (steps 1 and 2). |
Oil pressure pump (69) | remove together with driving disc (76). On 201 Model put oil pressure pump with lines connected to one side. On the 124 Model disconnect, connect vacuum line from oil reservoir container to oil pressure pump (steps 1 and 2). |
Gasket (75) | renew. |
Driving disc (76) | remove, install. |
Flange (71) | unbolt, bolt up, with attachment eye (22), 25 Nm (step 4). |
O-Ring (73) | renew (step 4). |
Hexagon socket screw (9a) | unbolt, bolt up, 80 Nm. Remove, install driving disc sleeve (70) (step 5). |

Note
The oil pressure pump (69) is driven directly by the camshaft (1) via the driving disc sleeve (70) and the driving disc (76) and is attached to the cylinder head by a flange (71). The fitting position of the flange on the cylinder head is fixed by two straight pins (arrows). The camshaft timing gear (4) is attached to the camshaft with the driving disc sleeve (70) and the hexagon socket screw (9a). The O-Ring (73) on the flange (71) seals the front semicircular bore in the cylinder head and in the cylinder head cover (81).

Removal and installation

1 On 124 Model, unbolt, bolt up oil line (a) to oil pressure pump, seal bores. Unbolt, bolt up bolts (68) and put oil pressure pump to one side. Remove, install driver (76). Renew gasket (75), tightening torque 15 Nm.

2 On 201 Model unscrew bolts (68), remove oil pressure pump and put to one side with lines connected.

3 Remove, install driver (76).
Renew gasket (75).

4 Unbolt, bolt up flange (71) together with the attachment eye (22), renew O-Ring (73). Tightening torque of bolts (72) 25 Nm. Note both dowels (71a).
5 Unscrew hexagon socket screw (9a) and remove, insert driver sleeve (70), tightening torque 80 Nm.
