GF88.79-P-2002FA | Fold left/right outside mirror, function | 22.2.08 |
MODEL 203.7
as of model year 09 /YoM 08 model refinement package
with CODE (500) Folding left/right outside mirrors
Function requirements, general
C. 15R On
No overvoltage or undervoltage
The circuit status is transmitted by the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) via the interior CAN.
Folding left/right outside mirror function sequence, general
The outside mirror housings can be folded in and out electrically in pairs.
If c. 15R is switched off during an active housing adjustment, the housing adjustment is nevertheless completed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If a new housing adjustment request is recognized during an active housing adjustment, the housing adjustment is directly switched to the opposite direction.
The actuation duration of the outside mirror actuation depends on the outside temperature.
Actuation is accomplished at temperatures of T > 5 °C with
t = 5 s, between T= 5 °C and -8 °C with t = 6 s and
at T -8 °C with t = 8 s.
The fold left/right outside mirror function comprises the following subfunctions:
Manual folding in function sequence
Manual folding out function sequence
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Additional function requirements for manually folding in
Last actuation was folding out
Vehicle speed v < 100 km/h
Manual folding in function sequence
The mirror housings can be folded to the garage position by momentarily actuating the outside mirror fold-in switch (S1s2) in the light switch module (S1).
The adjustment request from the outside mirror fold-in switch is read in by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1). It relays the adjustment request to the left front door control unit (N69/1) right front door control unit (N69/2) via the interior CAN.
The left front door control unit then actuates the mirror fold-in motor (M21/1m3) in the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and the right front door control unit actuates the mirror fold-out motor (M21/2m3) in the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2).
Additional function requirements for manual folding out
Last actuation was folding in
Manual folding out function sequence
The mirror housings can be folded to the driving position by momentarily actuating the outside mirror fold-in switch (S1s3) in the light switch module.
The adjustment request from the outside mirror fold-out switch is read in by the front SAM control unit. It relays the adjustment request to the left front door control unit right front door control unit via the interior CAN.
The left front door control unit then actuates the power folding mirrors motor in the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror and the right front door control unit actuates the power folding mirrors motor in the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror.
