Function prerequisites

A SIM card is inserted in the front telecommunications control unit (N112) and is authorized. If there is a system fault or if there is no authorized SIM card available after the system circuit 15R is energized, the red LEDs in the emergency call buttons will light up. After the circuit 15R is energized, the system is enabled for automatic crash detection.

After the circuit 15R is de-energized, the system normally switches off. If the TELE AID function is triggered, the system remains active as long there is voice communication with the emergency call headquarters. A manual call placed by pressing the emergency call button always functions from circuit 30.
