Locking/unlocking with radio frequency remote control, function

The driver's and passenger doors can be locked and unlocked with the FFB radio frequency remote control in combination with central locking (ZV/ZVA) or convenience locking system (KSA).

In addition on vehicles with convenience locking system the convenience closing function for open windows and the open sliding roof is actuated when the doors are locked.

On vehicles with anti-theft alarm (EDW) the locking and unlocking operations also activate and deactivate the anti-theft alarm circuits.



Vehicles for transport of hazardous goods equipped according to GGVS guidelines can only be locked with the RF remote control. The unlocking operation is possible only mechanically, e.g. with the key in the door lock, because the power supply required for operation of the RF remote control is interrupted automatically by a battery isolation switch following the locking operation.
The battery isolation switch is activated only after the ignition is switched on.
