BODY 940.899, 942.899 with CODE (FZ3) Convenience locking system with remote control
The driver's and passenger doors can be locked and unlocked with the radio frequency remote control (FFB) in combination with central locking (ZV) or a convenience locking system (KSA).
In addition to locking the doors the convenience locking system also provides a convenience closing feature for any open windows or open sliding roof.
On vehicles with an anti-theft alarm (EDW) the locking and unlocking operation also activates and deactivates the EDW warning circuits.
Vehicles for transport of hazardous goods with equipment according to GGVS guidelines can only be locked with the radio frequency remote control. Unlocking is possible only mechanically, i.e. with the key in the door lock, because the power supply required for the radio frequency remote control feature is interrupted automatically by a battery separation switch following the locking operation.
The battery separation switch is reactivated only when the ignition is switched on.
