2 | Valve block | B111 | MG pressure sensor (HAD) |
The manual transmission pressure sensor (HAD) (B111) is installed in the valve block (2) on the right side of the vehicle on the vehicle frame.
Task
The manual transmission (HAD) pressure sensor (B111) measures the control pressure in the valve block (2) supplied by the fixed displacement pump.
Function
In the manual transmission pressure sensor (HAD) (B111), the diaphragm with strain gauges is deformed, to match the applied hydraulic fluid pressure. This changes the electrical resistance of the strain gauges. The higher the pressure, the greater the deformation of the diaphragm and the higher the electrical resistance. This change in resistance is measured by an integrated electronics system and then converted into a voltage signal. The Hydraulic Auxiliary Drive (HAD) control unit (A83) reads in this voltage signal directly. The voltage signal is only generated once the control pressure solenoid valve (HAD) (Y69) is switched.
The electronics in the manual transmission pressure sensor (HAD) (B111) require a power supply of 5 V and they supply an output voltage of 0.5 to 4.5 V. The measuring range is 0 to 80 bar.
