Function
When driving straightahead and with forces balanced in the steering gear the rotor of the control valve is held in the center position against the steering housing by means of the C springs as they are known.
The oil flow delivered by the power steering pump enters the return flow through the control valve.
The same pressure ratios prevail in both working chambers.
The end stop valves and pressure limiting valve are closed.
