B109 Front level control travel sensor
The front level control travel sensor (B109) is bolted to a bracket attached to the crossmember in front of the front axle.

B107 Left rear level control travel sensor
B108 Right rear level control travel sensor
The left rear level control travel sensor (B107) and the right rear level control travel sensor (B108) are each bolted to the longitudinal member behind the rear axle.
Task
To allow level control, the left rear level control travel sensor (B107), the right rear level control travel sensor (B108) and the front level control travel sensor (B109) monitor the distance between the vehicle frame and axle.
Function
The left rear level control travel sensor (B107), the right rear level control travel sensor (B108) and the front level control travel sensor (B109) function as inductive sensors.
The change in distance between the vehicle frame and axle is transmitted via the measurement linkage to an eccentric disk inside the sensor housing.
The eccentric disk changes the position of an armature inside a coil, thereby generating the inductive signals which the level control control unit evaluates to determine the travel distance.
