GF32.22-S-3003A | Function of air suspension when cornering | 28.4.96 |
MODEL 638.0 /1 with CODE (CL0) Rear air suspension lowerable/liftable
MODEL 638.2 with CODE (CL0) Rear air suspension lowerable/liftable
Centrifugal force acts on the vehicle when cornering. A force acts upwards on the inside of the corner (alleviating load) and downwards on the outside of the corner (load).
With a normal suspension system the left side of the suspension is separated from the right side. As the air suspension is driven by a compressor which is common to the left and right side, separation is by means of an additional component, the transverse shutoff valves.
