Remove/install

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Remove D-pillar trim.

Remove screw (3) and place seat belt (1) with seat belt guide bracket (2) to one side.

 Screw in rear seat belt guide bracket

Release and disconnect electrical connector (4).

 Installation:
Make sure that the electrical connector (4) engages correctly.
Otherwise, the function of the seat belt retractor(6) is not ensured.

 Removal lever

Remove screw (5) and remove seat belt (1) with seat belt retractor (6).

 Bolt, rear seat belt retractor

Install in the reverse order.

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.

When replacing the seat belt retractor (6).


