Danger | Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. | Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Notes on handling refrigerant R134a
1 | Remove receiver drier |
| |
Model 203 as of 24.04.04
Installation: The receiver drier must be replaced every time the refrigerant circuit is opened, in order to guarantee correct operation of the air conditioning system.
2 | Remove poly-V-belt | ||
3 | Disconnect connector coupling (3)
4 | Remove bolt (1) | Screw/bolt, suction line to refrigerant compressor
Screw/bolt, pressure line to A/C compressor
5 | Remove suction pressure line (11) and high-pressure line (10) and place to one side | Seal openings of suction pressure line (11) and high-pressure line (10) to prevent foreign objects entering.
Installation: Install new sealing rings. Moisten thread and sealing rings with compressor oil.

6 | Remove screw/bolt (2) | Screw, refrigerant compressor to bracket
7 | Remove bottom section of soundproofing
8 | Remove bolt (2a) | Screw, refrigerant compressor to bracket
9 | Remove refrigerant compressor (A9) | Remove refrigerant compressor (A9) upwards.
10 | Install in the reverse order
11 | Correct oil level in refrigerant compressor (A9)
Replace | |||
12 | Replace suction pressure line (11) and high-pressure lines (10) with sealing rings | Only if the refrigerant compressor (A9) is replaced as a result of internal damage.
13 | Replace expansion valve |
| |
