Remove/install

Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from EIS [EZS] control unit

On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove cover below right instrument panel

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

Loosen screw (2)

Prevent screws (2) from falling.

Remove rear shut-off flap actuator motor (M2/12)

Installation: When replacing the rear shutoff flap actuator motor (M2/12) the position of the rear shutoff flap must be adjusted using the drive plate to match the position of the actuating drive in the rear shutoff flap actuator motor (M2/12).

Install in the reverse order

Normalize actuator motors, then read out DTC memory and erase

Stored faults which may be caused by removal, test work, removed lines or simulation, must be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
