Remove/install

Set air distribution switch of operating unit (1) to top position and heater valve switch of the operating unit (1) to the left stop

Remove glove compartment

On vehicles with code (LHD) Left-hand drive vehicle

Remove cover below right instrument panel

On vehicles with code (RHD) right-hand drive vehicle

Unscrew bolts (3) at left and right on operating unit (1)

Unclip catch hook (2, 4) on operating unit (1) and route operating unit (1) carefully downwards until the Bowden cable (7) is accessible

Unclip retaining clamp (6) of Bowden cable (7) on the operating unit (1) and unhook eyelet (5) of Bowden cable (7) on the relay lever of the operating unit (1)

Fold over floor covering until the spreader clip (10) of the cover (9) is accessible

Remove bolts (8)

On vehicles with code (LHD) Left-hand drive vehicle

Remove expansion clip (10).

On vehicles with code (LHD) Left-hand drive vehicle

9.1

Take off cover (9)

On vehicles with code (LHD) Left-hand drive vehicle

Observe installation position for cover (9).

Unhook Bowden cable (7) from retaining clamp (11)

Release catch hook of lever (12) and unhook eyelet (13) of Bowden cable (7)

Do not damage catch hook, as otherwise the Bowden cable (7) can then no longer be locked.

Pull Bowden cable (7) out of instrument panel and remove

Install in the reverse order

Perform functional check on operating unit (1)
