| Remove | ||
1 | Remove signal acquisition and actuation module and move out of working area with attached electric lines.
2 | Remove screws (3) and remove left air mixing flap actuator motor (1) from air conditioner housing (2). | When removing the left air mixing flap actuator motor (1), the air mixing flap drops to its end position, which corresponds to the coldest temperature setting.
3 | Disconnect electrical connector (4) and remove left air mixing flap actuator motor (1).
| Check | ||
4 | Twist the air mixing flap at spacer (5) by hand in a counterclockwise direction up to the end stop and then release. | The air mixing flap must drop to its end position by itself.
If there is sluggishness or damage.
| |||
Replace air conditioner housing (2).
| Install | ||
5 | Connect electrical connector (4) at left air mixing flap actuator motor (1).
6 | Attach ground line at negative pole and tighten lightly by hand, then switch on ignition. | Model 470
7.1 | Set automatic climate control to manual operation and adjust the temperature on the driver's side to the lowest value. | Model 470
The blower must be activated.
7.2 | Adjust the temperature to the lowest value. | Model 470
The blower must be activated.
8 | Align left air mixing flap actuator motor (1) at spacer (5) and position at air conditioner housing (2). | Model 470
Model 471 | |||
9 | Tighten bolts (3). | ||
| Check | ||
10 | Perform function test on left air mixing flap actuator motor (1).
11 | Disconnect ground cable. | Model 470
12 | Install signal acquisition and actuation module. |
