| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | ||
2 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit | KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go. | |
3 | Remove rear center section paneling (1) | ||
4 | Detach left side paneling (2) far enough to enable the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) to be removed | ||
5 | Unscrew nuts (3) | ||
6 | Slacken off nut (6) until the bracket (7) is accessible | ||
7 | Unclip clips (8) on bracket (7) | ||
8 | Separate electrical connectors (4) | ||
9 | Disconnect electrical connector with fiber optic cable (5) | ||

10 | Remove sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) with bracket (7) | ||
