Remove/install

Open pop-up roof

Remove side pop-up roof cable (3) fro side guide rail and guide to side

Lower pop-up roof until lock striker mount (1) is accessible

Ensure that pop-up roof cable (3) has clearance.
Otherwise the pop-up roof cable (3) or the mechanical components of the pop-up roof can be damaged.

Loosen sealing frame (4) from pop-up roof in area of striker pin mount (1)

Mark assembly position of striker pin mount (1) on pop-up roof

Unscrew bolts (2), remove striker pin mount (1) from pop-up roof and guide to side

 Installation: Observe marking.

Remove pop-up roof cable (3) from striker pin mount (1)

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check whether pop-up roof locks properly in area of mount on striker pin (1) when the pop-up roof is closed

 It should not be possible to lift the pop-up roof in the area of the striker pin mount (1).

If the pop-up roof can be lifted in the area of the striker pin mount (1).



Adjust pop-up roof cable (3)
