Move soft top to repair position R2

 If the soft top control is faulty, e.g. defective hydraulic pump, open soft top mechanically. Leave soft top compartment lid open.

Loosen soft top locking unit hydraulic cylinder (3) and turn to side

 Do not yet disconnect hydraulic lines from soft top locking unit hydraulic cylinder (3).
Do not remove soft top locking unit hydraulic cylinder (3) from locking unit.

Remove locking plate (8) from hydraulic line (2) on rod side

Pull rod-side hydraulic line (2) out of soft top locking unit hydraulic cylinder (3)

 Collect escaping hydraulic oil in a suitable vessel.



Check supply pressure of soft top hydraulic pump

Disconnect diagnostic system



Install

Remove old sealing ring (9) from soft top locking unit hydraulic cylinder (3)

Install new sealing ring (9) on connection on rod side hydraulic line (2).



Hydraulic fluids (Specification 343.0)

 Coat new sealing ring (9) with hydraulic oil.

Insert rod-side hydraulic line (2) into soft top locking unit hydraulic cylinder (3)

Install locking plate (8)

Install soft top locking unit hydraulic cylinder (3)

Close soft top

Check oil level of hydraulic system, correct


