Notes on soft tops

Remove

Remove paneling on B-pillar

Open rear soft top cover

Remove cover (3)

Mark installation position of latch (1)

Unscrew bolts (2) and remove latch (1)



Install

Position latch (1) in line with markings and tighten bolts (2)



Check

Install side support

 The side support must engage securely in the second catch and its seal must be in contact with the B-pillar.

In the event of complaints



Adjust latch (1) as necessary

Close rear soft top and make sure that pin (4) and guide (5.1) are correctly positioned


In the event of a collision, interrupt closure of rear soft top immediately.
Otherwise soft top components can be damaged.

 Helper required.
The pin (4) must run centrally into the catch (5) and the guide (5.1) run securely into the side support.

In the event of a collision or other deviations



Check height offset of rails (5.2, 8.1)


There must not be any height offset.
Otherwise the sliders can be damaged.

If deviations are present



Remove side support

Put on cover (3)

Close rear soft top

Fold up clamping bracket on rear soft top

Install paneling at B-pillar
