Remove/install front panoramic roof roller sun blind

Remove

1

Remove headliner

Remove bolts (4)

Only if bolts (4) have not yet been replaced with nuts (12) and Allen screws (13).

2.2

Unscrew nuts (12) and Allen screw (13) on left and right

Only if bolts (4) have already been replaced with nuts (12) and Allen screws (13).

Retract front roller sun blind (1) and loosen sliding rails (5) from guide rails (6)

 Note installation position of roller blind guide (9)

Remove tie strap (7) from clock-type spring (8).

Loosen guide (3) on front roller sun blind (1) from carrier (2) on left, then slide toward right and turn until hole of clock-type spring (11) is flush with hole in roller sun blind (10)

Slide suitable locking pin through hole for clock-type spring (11) and hole for roller sun blind (10) and secure front roller sun blind (1) against twisting or releasing

 Use 1 mm diameter locking pin.

Remove front roller sun blind (1)

8.1

Check clip (14) on right and left guide rail (6), replace if necessary.

Only when clip (14) has been installed.



Install

9.1

Drill dia. 4 mm mounting holes for bolts (4).

Tightening the bolts (4) is no longer possible if the threads in the guide rails (6) are damaged.

 Carefully drill mounting bores for bolts (4) to prevent damaging guide rail (6)

 Cover working area



Clean guide rails (6)

Wet/dry vacuum cleaner

Install front roller sun blind (1) in carrier (2) on right

Pull locking pin out of hole for clock-type spring (11) and hole for roller sun blind (10)

 Ensure that clock-type spring (8) is seated correctly in carrier (2) and cannot jump out

Install guide (3) for front roller sun blind (1) in carrier (2) on left

14

Install tie strap (7) on clock-type spring (8)

15

Install sliding rail (5) and roller blind guide (9) for front roller sun blind (1) in guide rails (6)

16.1

Replace bolts (4) with Allen screws (13) and tighten to guide rails (6) with self-locking nuts (12)

Tightening the bolts (4) is no longer possible if the threads in the guide rails (6) are damaged.

 Use Allen screw (13) with size of M49 mm.

16.2

Insert Allen screws (13) into guide rails (6) and tighten with self-locking nuts (12)

Only if bolts (4) have already been replaced with nuts (12) and Allen screws (13).

 Replace self-locking nuts (12).

Check front roller sun blinds (1) for proper function

Install headliner
