Risk of injury caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units.

Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply.

Remove tilting/sliding roof cover

Remove windowbag

 Only on left side

Remove rear water drain hoses (2) and front water drain hoses (3)

Unscrew screws (4) and remove bracket (5)

 Only on left side

Undo bolts (6) and remove bracket (7)

 Only on left side

Undo bolts (8) and remove bracket (9)

 Only on left side

Insert pliers into arresting hole (10)

 Pliers

Unscrew bolts (11, 12, 13) and bolts (14, 15)

Pull pliers out of arresting hole (10)

Lower tilting/sliding roof (1) on left side (arrow A).

Remove tilting/sliding roof (1) toward rear through rear-end door

Install in the reverse order

Adjust tilting/sliding roof cover
