Remove/install

Remove outer paneling from liftgate (1)

Remove bolts (2) and place check straps (3) to one side

Disconnect electrical connector (4) from outside

Loosen grommet (5) and guide electrical wiring harness out of liftgate (1)

Mark position of hinges (6)

Unscrew nuts (7), remove liftgate (1) and lay down on a suitable surface

 Installation: Observe any previous markings.

 Helper required.

 Screw/bolt/nut, liftgate hinge to rear center section

Install in the reverse order

Adjust gap dimensions on liftgate (1)
